Togbega Kadzi Zogah II Inducted into Volta Regional House of Chiefs

According to Ghana News Agency:ccording to Ghana News Agency, Togbega Zogah has committed to using his new role to address longstanding chieftaincy disputes, promote peace and stability, and spearhead initiatives in infrastructure development, education, and healthcare. In his address at the ceremony, he emphasized the need to preserve Sokpoe's rich cultural heritage and to empower local economic growth through innovative projects. Togbega Zogah also highlighted the importance of facilitating access to resources and expertise for community development projects, underscoring the necessity of collective efforts and cooperation among traditional leaders, government agencies, and community members. He expressed gratitude to the government for establishing the Sokpoe Traditional Council, which he credited with boosting development efforts in the area. The induction of Togbega Zogah and nine other chiefs into the VRHC is seen as a move to strengthen collaboration between traditional leaders and government agencie s, thereby enhancing the representation of Sokpoe's interests at the regional level. The ceremony was attended by a host of prominent traditional leaders, government officials, and community representatives, reflecting the importance of the event. Established under the Chieftaincy Act 2008 (Act 759), the Volta Regional House of Chiefs aims to foster unity, peace, and development among traditional authorities in the Volta Region. Togbega Zogah's induction is expected to further these goals, bringing about positive changes and development within the community.
