The municipality of Degache in co-operation with the association of the Bouhlel festival for tourism and heritage recently inaugurated the first mountain hiking trail in the region “Bouhlel Hike”, president of the association Habib Zaoui told TAP on Thursday.

Funded by the German cooperation GIZ, “Bouhlel Hike” is a 10-km trail allowing tourist hikers visiting the area to learn about the history of the region and of international film shoots in southern Tunisia as “The English patient” or “Star Wars.”

Zaoui said the hiking trail is part of the promotion of alternative tourism in the locality of Bouhlel.
