Trade union left-wing activist Salah Zeghidi passes away

Trade union left-wing activist Salah Zeghidi died on Monday at the age of 78 following a long fight against illness.

The late had started his political career in the early 60s when he integrated the Tunisian Communist Party (PCT) and the student movement of the General Union of Tunisian Students (UGET).

Zeghidi had also participated throughout his life in the creation of several associations militating for individual and collective freedoms and for neutrality of the administration and worship places.
