Training centre for handicrafts to be created shortly in Kebili

A training centre for handicrafts will be created shortly by the Medina Conservation Association in Kebili.

This project which is due to be operational as of next September, is funded by the European Union and the Handicap International organisation as part of the integrated development programme for the north-Kebili delegation, President of the association Maher Sghairoun told TAP.

The goal is to help the region’s youths gain the necessary skills to manage their own projects in terms of the oases waste recycling and restoration of traditional houses.

The centre is mainly dedicated to youths and persons with specific needs for a better professional integration in the fields of handicrafts and restoration of oasis villages. It will be also open to all age categories and academic levels.
