Trial in the case of the events of Ben Guerdane known as “the epic of Ben Guerdane” has been deferred until February 8, 2022, the communications office at the Court of First Instance of Tunis said Tuesday.

According to the court, 96 individuals are accused in this case including 62 in detention, 25 on bail and 9 on the run.

Charges vary between membership in a terrorist organization inside and outside the Tunisian territory, possession of weapons and explosives on behalf of a terrorist organisation and attempted murder qualified as a terrorist crime, in addition to attacking public property and vital resources of the State.
