Tema community two: Trinity Lutheran School, in partnership with Trinity Lutheran Congregation, has inaugurated a newly refurbished library aimed at boosting the educational resources for its students. The modern facility, equipped with a variety of books, tables, and chairs, was officially opened by Reverend John Shadrack Donkoh, President of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Ghana, and Reverend John Andoh, the resident pastor. According to Ghana News Agency, Reverend Donkoh expressed that the establishment of the library marks a significant achievement for both the school and the congregation. He highlighted the library's role in broadening the students' knowledge across various academic disciplines. Reverend Donkoh also mentioned the library's decade-long journey from an unused building to a key educational resource, emphasizing the collective effort from the church and school leadership in bringing the project to fruition. The library not only serves the students but is also available to church adults on Saturdays, ensuring it does not disrupt weekday school activities. This initiative is part of a broader strategy to enhance learning through accessible resources, as stated by Mr. Joseph Lanbon, Director of Lutheran Schools. He revealed plans for the library's expansion into an e-library, which will include computers and online books. In her remarks, Nana Opokuaa Adarkwah, the librarian, underscored the library's extensive collection and its potential to foster a reading and research culture among students. She pointed out that the library caters to a wide range of subjects and reading levels, thereby supporting diverse educational needs. The community's educational leaders, including Mr. Maxwell Boniku, head of the junior high school department, emphasized the ongoing need for financial support to further enhance the school's facilities, indicating a commitment to continuous improvement in student resources and infrastructure. Lastly, Miss Doreen Naa Dodua Dodoo, a senior pupil, pledged on behalf of he r peers to utilize the library effectively to advance their academic skills and vocabulary, demonstrating the enthusiasm and positive reception of the students towards this new learning environment.
