Tunisia topped the medal table of the IJF Tunis African Open (March 9-12) after bagging 9 medals (4 gold, 1 silver and 4 bronze). Tunisia dominated events ahead of Algeria (3 gold, 2 silver and 12 bronze) and Senegal (2 gold, 1 silver and 1 bronze). Tunisia’s gold medals were snatched by Sarra Mzoughi (78kg), Oumaima Bedoui (48kg), Aziz HArbi (-66kg) and Fraj Dhouibi (-60kg). The silver medal went to Mariem Jemour (-57kg). The Tunis African Open saw the participation of 179 judokas from 42 countries.
