The third edition of the African Medical Tourism Congress is due on October 7-9 in Gammarth, Tunis northern suburbs, under the .auspices of the health and tourism and handicrafts ministries.
Organisers seek to promote Tunisias as a medical tourism destination by capitalising on its skilled staff and services.
About twenty countries from Africa, Europe and Asia will attend the event, according to details posted on the website www.amtc-tunisia.com. Scientific communications by physicians and international experts are on the agenda.
The event is expected to draw dozens of participants from across the globe representing hospitals, private healthcare facilities, medical tourism companies, medical and paramedical equipment businesses, insurance companies and therapy centres.
The congress offers the opportunity to hold meetings with foreign delegations to conclude agreements and memoranda of understanding.
The first edition of the congress was held in 2019.
