Tunis:Tunisia celebrated a significant achievement at the 26th Arab Radio and Television Festival (ASBU), securing six awards, including five first prizes. According to Agence Tunis Afrique Presse - English, Tunisian media outlets stood out in a competition that had 320 entries. Among the winners were Tunisian Television, Radio Monastir, Radio Jeune, and Diwan FM, which collectively brought home five top awards and one second prize. Tunisian Television excelled in the main television categories, claiming the first prize for news reporting with "Indama tozhirou al-ardh al-mouhtariqua" (When the scorched earth blooms) and the first prize in the variety and arts programmes category with "Ellila Eid" (Tonight is Eid). It also earned a second prize in the cultural programmes category for "Manazil al-fan" (Houses of Art). In radio competitions, Radio Monastir was awarded the first prize in the motivational programmes category for "Wa min attahaddi moojizat" (Miracles Are Born of Challenge). Radio Jeune won first prize in the children's programmes category for "Holm saghir" (A Little Dream). Diwan FM achieved first prize in the parallel radio competition for women's programmes with "Honna Raidat" (They Are the Pioneers). The festival, organised by the Arab States Broadcasting Union (ASBU) in collaboration with the Cultural Affairs Ministry, Tunisian Television, and Tunisian Radio, took place from September 21-24 in Tunis and Hammamet. Competitions were divided into television, radio, and new media categories. Television and radio competitions included a main competition for ASBU member public broadcasters and a parallel competition open to private channels, news agencies, and independent producers. The new media competition focused on digital content from the Union's member organisations.
