Tunisia attends Meeting of AU High Level Committee on Libya

Secretary of State for Migration and Tunisian Expatriates Radhouane Ayara took part in the Meeting of the African Union (AU) High Level Committee on Libya held Friday in Brazzaville, Congo. Eleven countries and representatives of the United Nations, the AU and the Arab League attended the event.

The Secretary of State reiterated Tunisia’s position of support to the Libyan people and its determination to further coordinate with Libya neighbours, notably Algeria and Egypt, to narrow the views of stakeholders in Libya and restore confidence among them and provide conditions necessary to an inter-Libyan dialogue conducive to a UN-brokered settlement, the Foreign Ministry Saturday said in a press release.

Radhouane Ayara also discussed bilateral relations with heads of participating delegations as well as means to resolve the Libya crisis.
