Tunisia, on Monday, condemned the attack on a military base in Maiduguri in northeastern Nigeria blamed to “Boko Haram”.

At least 18 people died and 84 others were wounded in Sunday’s attack, the Nigerian army spokesman said.

While expressing its solidarity with the Nigerian government and people in the fight against terrorism and its deep compassion for the families of the victims, Tunisia called for greater international co-operation and co-ordination to dry up the sources of terrorism.

Tunisia also urged the various African countries to work together to overcome this phenomenon, according to a statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
