Tunisia did not undertake any forced repatriation of migrants from sub-Saharan Africa, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Migration and Tunisians Abroad said on Thursday, contrary to “reports of forced returns of undocumented migrants.”

Meanwhile, voluntary repatriation applications were filed by undocumented migrants. Such applications are handled in a positive way and in compliance with legal provisions in force.

Foreign residents in Tunisia are offered the necessary protection without any discrimination, the ministry further said.
