Tunisia eyes top awards in Trophées Francophones du Cinéma

Tunisia has seven nominations in the seventh edition of Trophées Francophones du Cinéma set for next December 4 in Kigali (Rwanda).

Hinde Boujemaa’s Noura’s Dream is competing for the Best Director, Best Actress (Hend Sabri) and Best Actor in a Supporting Role (Lotfi Abdelli) trophies.

Mehdi Barsaoui’s A Son eyes the Best Scenario, Best Feature Fiction Film and Best Actor (Sami Bouajila) trophies.

Meryam Joobeur’s short film Brotherhood was shortlisted for this category .

Out of 132 films (81 feature films and 51 short movies) from 24 French-speaking countries, 27 films (including 10 feature films, 5 documentaries and 5 short films) were shortlisted.

The represent 16 countries, namely Tunisia, Armenia, Belgium, Bulgaria, Canada/Quebec, DR Congo, Côte d’Ivoire, France, Haïti, Lebanon, Luxembourg, Morocco, Rwanda, Senegal and Switzerland.
