“Tunisia First” movement presents “inclusive economic pact” initiative to President Caid Essebsi

President Beji Caid Essebsi received, Tuesday at Carthage Palace, a delegation of the “Tunisia First” movement led by Boujemaa Remili, President of the Party’s national board.

The meeting provided the opportunity to present to the Head of the State the party’s initiative on the inclusive economic pact that aims to overcome the current social-economic and financial difficulties, Remili was quoted as saying in a Presidency press release.

He commended the President of the Republic’s efforts to bring all parties’ efforts together to revive the national economy, overcome the current challenges and bring the democratic transition process to a conclusive end.

The party had announced on august 15 an initiative for the organisation of a national conference on economic and social reform that aims to consolidate national unity over a set of urgent reforms.

The conference should lead to developing an “inclusive economic pact,” according to the party.

The “Tunisia First” movement was created on July 24, 2017.
