Tunisia, France conduct joint naval drill (Defence)

– The Tunisian and French navies held on April 2-6 a joint exercise off Tunisia’s northern coasts, the National Defence Ministry said on Friday.

This drill is part of military cooperation; it is meant to “strengthen the national navy’s operational capacity in fighting illicit sea activities and coordinating maritime control, search and rescue,” the Ministry indicated.

The national navy, supported by an helicopter, and Commandant Birot warship, on the French side, along with maritime patrol aircraft Atlantic took part in the naval exercise.
