“Tunisia Street” inaugurated in Florence, Italy

The Tunisia Street was inaugurated on Monday in Florence, Italy, as part of the implementation of the co-operation and friendship agreement between Tunisia and Florence.

The inauguration ceremony took place in the presence of mayor of Florence Dario Nardella, Head of the Tunis Special Delegation Seifallah Lasram, Tunisia’s Consul in Rome Farhat Ben Souissi and a representative of the Tunisian embassy in Italy.

This initiative comes as part of the implementation of the co-operation and friendship agreement concluded last year between the Tunis and Florence municipalities, Tunisian embassy in Italy said in a press release.

Mayor of Florence highlighted, on the occasion, the age-long relations established between Tunisia and Italy, hailing the exemplary co-operation binding the Tunis and Florence cities.

This initiative is one of the key axes of the bilateral co-operation that will be called upon to strengthen so as to include the economic aspect, environmental protection and the migration issue, he pointed out.

The Florence Street should be inaugurated in October in Tunis.
