Foreign Minister Khemaies Jhinaoui will lead a Tunisian delegation to the 29th Ordinary Session of the Assembly of the Heads of State and Government of the African Union, July 3-4 in Addis Ababa.

Under the theme: “Harnessing the Demographic Dividend Through Investments in the Youth,” the summit will focus on several important issues related to the organisation’s institutional reform project and the future of the African common action and will discuss issues related to the AU’s activities and its funding sources.

The event will also offer the opportunity to elect the remaining members of the African Commission and renew the composition of the Advisory Board on Corruption and the African Commission on Human and Peoples’ Rights, according to a Foreign Ministry press release Saturday.

On the fringes of the summit, Jhinaoui will have a set of talks with several Heads of delegations and with senior AU officials.
