Tunisia to host International Festival of Emerging Technologies

StartupGate is organising on March 18 the International Festival of Emerging Technologies, in collaboration with the Agency for the Promotion of Industry and Innovation (French: APII).
The festival is held as part of a two-day event organised in partnership with the Islamic World Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (ICESCO). It is expected to bring together over 200 entrepreneurs from 50 member countries in a bid to network small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and startups in Tunisia with international companies.
The festival, organisers said, will involve ten Arab countries and nearly 30 entrepreneurship experts. It is geared towards finding funding and promoting technological advances made by Tunisian startups with a view to building win-win partnerships.
It is likewise designed to foster communication between young entrepreneurs and SMEs operating in e-commerce, tourism, financial solutions, sustainable development and health.
Training sessions to build the abilities of young Tunisian entrepreneurs are on the agenda, in addition to B2B meetings for 100 Tunisian entrepreneurs.
