Tunisia: Tunisia welcomed the ceasefire agreement reached in Gaza after two years of systematic genocide that resulted in an unprecedented humanitarian catastrophe. In a statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Migration and Tunisians Abroad, Tunisia reiterated its firm and principled stance in support of the Palestinian people's struggle and their right to self-determination.
According to Agence Tunis Afrique Presse - English, Tunisia also saluted the steadfastness of the valiant Palestinian people, expressing deep reverence for their noble sacrifices and the pure blood they have shed in confronting the Zionist war machine to defend their right to liberation and full freedom. The statement praised the Arab and international efforts that led to the agreement, while warning against the consequences of the Zionist entity's repeated violations of its commitments.
The statement called on the international community to assume its responsibilities in ensuring the permanence of the ceasefire in Gaza, fully lifting the blockade, and expediting the Palestinian people's access to humanitarian aid and the reconstruction of their land, to establish the foundations of a dignified and secure life. Tunisia stressed that reaching a ceasefire agreement must not obscure the international community's responsibility to continue pursuing the leaders of the occupying entity to hold them accountable for the genocide and collective punishment they have committed.
Furthermore, Tunisia reaffirmed its categorical rejection of all attempts to displace the Palestinian people from their land or undermine their just cause. Finally, Tunisia reiterated its unconditional support for the legitimate struggle of the Palestinian people to recover their inalienable historical rights, which do not expire with time, and to establish their fully sovereign independent state over all of Palestine, with Al-Quds Al-Sharif as its capital.
