Tunisia win two silver medals at African Petanque Championship

Tunisia’s petanque team won two silver medals at the end of the African Petanque Championship held September 6-10 in Tunis.

The first silver medal was won in the triplet competition behind Madagascar who won the title whilst Cote d’Ivoire and Morocco snatched the bronze medal.

Khalid Bougriba snatched the second silver medal in the precision shooting competition after finishing second behind Madagascar’s Hani Zaoual Toni who won the gold medal. The two bronze medals were won by Morocco’s Ali Makkaoui and Niger’s Ibrahim Ahouni.

Sixteen countries took part in this continental championship namely Tunisia, Algeria, Libya, Morocco, Mauritania, Chad, DR Congo, Cote d’Ivoire, Mauritius, Djibouti, Niger, Benin, Mali, Madagascar, Senegal and Guinea.
