Tunisian Automotive Association, GIZ to launch training academy

A memorandum of understanding was signed by the Tunisian Automotive Association (TAA), the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ) and the Ministry of Industry, Mines and Energy under which the Tunisian Automotive Management Academy (TAMA) will be launched.

TAMA is a training facility which seeks to build necessary skills in the automotive industry in Tunisia.

This agreement, which was concluded recently, is also aimed at boosting the automotive sector by helping implement “the Pact for the Competitiveness of the Automotive Industry,” developing a communication plan for the development of a brand image of the Tunisian automotive sector and creating a database to be used by potential investors and foreign customers.

A better management of the COVID-19 impact is also sought by means of developing health guidelines and organising targeted training sessions (management of automotive industry waste, international networking, etc.).

The Tunisian Automotive Association is a Tunisian non-profit association established in February 2016 at the initiative of actors of the automotive components industry in Tunisia and the Foreign Investment Promotion Agency.
