Tunisian Basma Makhlouf Shabou, Phd in information science and department chair at Geneva High School of Management, was named Chevalier de l’Ordre des Arts et des Lettres (Knight of the Order of Arts and Literature) in France for 2021.

Basma Makhlouf Shabou has been a professor of archival studies in information and documentation science since 2010. She also taught in many other schools and universities as part of the archival education programme, mainly the University of Manouba (2002-2003).

The Ordre des Arts et des Lettres is a French distinction awarded by the ministry of culture to people who distinguished themselves in arts and literature.
