Tunisian-French Civil Society Day next February 1 in Tunis

The Tunisian-French Civil Society Day will be held next February 1 in Tunis, organisers said. Eighty Tunisian civil society organisations (CSOs) are expected to participate along with their French support bodies.

The event, which will take place at the seat of the French Institute of Tunisia, will be an opportunity for Tunisian CSOs to outline their activities in the presence of representatives of French institutional partners, including the French Development Agency(AFD), Expertise France, Business France, Campus France Tunisie and the French Agency in charge of Immigration and Integration (OFII).

Partners also include the Agency for the Teaching of French Abroad (AEFE) and the Research Institute on Contemporary Maghreb (IRMC).

The event is held seven years after the Revolution and the first civil society forum organised by France in 2011.

The event will bring together CSOs active in such areas as human rights and individual liberties, youth, education and citizenship, solidarity and fight against inequalities.
