Tunisian national expelled from Italy on charges of terrorism

Italy, on Thursday, handed over so-called Nasreddine Ben Dhiab (23 years old) to the Tunisian authorities on charges of terrorism, said spokesperson for the Judicial Counter-Terrorism Centre Sofiene Selliti.

He added that the Public Prosecutor to the centre had ordered that the suspect be held in custody who, according to Selliti, had recently pledged allegiance to the terrorist group “Daesh.”

“He integrated a jihadist cell on the outskirts of Milan counting several members of various nationalities,” he specified, adding that it had been planning major attacks in Tunisia and abroad.

An Italian newspaper reported, Thursday, that the Italian Interior Ministry expelled Thursday Nasreddine Ben Dhiab “who had received instructions last November to carry out terrorist attacks in Italy.”
