Tunisians back from hotbeds of tension should be charged on the basis of anti-terrorist law (Caid Essebsi)

President Beji Caid Essebsi stressed, Tuesday, the imperative need to take the necessary measures against Tunisians retuning back from the hotbed of tensions which, he said, “should be charged on the basis of the anti-terrorist law.”

Chairing the Higher Armed Forces Council’s Meeting, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces pointed out the major importance he lends to the issue of borders’ security and control, laying emphasis on the need to be more vigilant to preserve the national security and sovereignty.

During the meeting, Caid Essebsi paid a particularly special tribute to the armed forces for the efforts and sacrifices they are constantly exerting, notably in this exceptional situation at the national and regional scales.

According to a Presidency of the Republic press release, the meeting offered the occasion to examine the development of military co-operation with a number of countries and assess the armed forces’ situation.
