Tunisia’s relations with peoples of sub-Saharan Africa will remain distinguished (Tabboubi)

“Tunisia’s relations with peoples of sub-Saharan Africa will remain distinguished,” Secretary-General of the Tunisian General Labour Union (French: UGTT) Noureddine Taboubi said Friday as he met in Brussels with a delegation from the African Trade Union Confederation (ATUC).

Tabboubi also said “Tunisia will remain a land of tolerance and meetings,” a trade union source told TAP. His remarks came as he attended the 30th session of the General Council of the International Trade Union Confederation (ITUC). “What has happened recently was just a misunderstanding,” Tabboubi added.

The SG is set to meet with trade unionists from Europe and the USA to reaffirm the strong and long-standing relations between trade unions throughout the world.
