US Monastir defeated CS Chebba (2-0) at a Tunisia’s soccer League 1 Group B day-1 game played Sunday evening in Monastir.
Scorers: Zied Aloui (37′) and Mohamed Amine Nefzi (og 68).
Earlier in the afternoon, US Tataouine secured a 2-1 home win over CA Bizertin in Group A, while Club Africain were held to a draw by AS Rejiche 1-1 and O. Beja defeated ES Zarzis in Group B on Saturday.
The other matches were postponed until a later date due to the particpiation of ES Tunis and ES Sahel in the CAF Champions’ League and the CS Sfaxien and US Ben Guerdane in the CAF Confederation Cup.
