Twellium Ghana Awards Cash Prizes to Three Inspirational Street Vendors


Accra: As part of the commemoration of the 2025 International Women’s Day celebration, Twellium Ghana has awarded a total of GHS 15,000 in cash prizes to three exceptional women whose resilience and dedication inspire many. The initiative was to recognize and uplift the hardworking women who make a living as street vendors.



According to Ghana News Agency, the three women include Madam Grace Walker, Madam Janet Awaliba, and Madam Gloria. In a statement issued in Accra, it was noted that the initiative aligned with Twellium Ghana’s mission to empower and support women, particularly those in informal sectors, who contribute immensely to the economy despite facing daily challenges. The company not only acknowledged their hard work but also provided financial assistance to ease their burdens and improve their livelihoods.



Mr. Hussein Kesserwani, CEO of Twellium Ghana, explained the company’s motivation behind the initiative, stating that at Twellium Ghana, they recognize the invaluable role women play in society. These women work tirelessly every day under tough conditions to provide for their families and keep the economy moving. On International Women’s Day, the company wanted to do more than just celebrate them-they wanted to show appreciation in a tangible way. The hope is that this support brings relief and inspires others to uplift the hardworking women in communities.



He further emphasized that the initiative underscored Verna Water’s longstanding commitment to corporate social responsibility, with a strong focus on empowerment, sustainability, and giving back to the community.
