Twenty French companies heading out to capture Tunisian market

Twenty French companies operating in the sectors of industry, energy, infrastructure, environment, services, health and agriculture, will accompany the French President Emmanuel Macron who will make a state visit to Tunisia on January 31 and February 1, 2018.

Accompanied by the Agency “Business France”, these companies wish to expand and strengthen their activity in Tunisia, said a statement by the Embassy of France in Tunisia released Tuesday.

It added that these companies “will benefit from a customised business meeting programme that provides a unique opportunity to gain visibility, attend the highlights of the visit, access key contacts, accelerate business connections, build technological partnerships and access funding”.

All sectors represented “are part of the economic roadmap that the French and Tunisian presidents will sign on the occasion of this state visit,” said the same source, adding that Tunisia “is embarking on a process of deep structural and economic reforms to create a more favorable environment for the return of investors and to encourage job creation”.

Director of Business France Tunisia, Olivier PRADET pointed out that “the potential of the Tunisian economy can be fostered in a context of return of sustainable growth in the European countries and gradual recovery of the economies of the Maghreb rand Africa regions”.

“Increased trade with European Union (EU) countries and openness to Africa will enable Tunisia to gradually stand out as a regional hub from which French companies, often in partnership with Tunisian companies, will be able to expand to Africa, he added.

“Business France” is an agency responsible for the international development of French companies and their exports, as well as prospecting and hosting international investments in France.
