Two associations in connection with terrorism dissolved in Ben Guerdan and Bizerte (MP)

MP and member of the committee of investigation into young people sending to conflict zones Leila Chattaoui affirmed, as part of the Interior Ministry representatives’ hearing, that two associations one in Ben Guerdan and the other in Bizerte had been dissolved under court decision following confirmation on the existence of a direct connection of several of their members with terrorism and sending youths to conflict zones.

The State does not have the sufficient means to control 18 thousand associations active in the country, she told TAP on the fringes of a ceremony held by Machrou Tounes movement in honour of laureates from Gafsa, stressing that Youssef Chahed had ordered in this regard to reinforce human resources.

Besides, she recalled that works of the committee of investigation into young people sending to conflict zones had been suspended for a month following her departure from the Nidaa Tounes group and withdrawal from the committee’s presidency.
