Two dead and 67 wounded in crash of bus carrying workers to Sidi Bennour ]

A serious accident occurred on Saturday around 6:30 a.m. at the level of Sidi Bennour (Monastir governorate) between two workers’ transport buses, leaving two dead and 67 wounded.

The two buses carrying workers from a garment factory in Touza collided, one of the buses overturned. Two workers (two sisters) died instantly.

Thirty-seven wounded were transported to the regional hospitals of Moknine and Ksar Hellal and to the Monastir Fattouma Bourguiba Hospital in ambulances.

The other wounded were transported in private cars.

Regional director of the Monastir civil protection Jalloul Jaballah said that most of the wounded are out of danger.

Director-General of the Fattouma Bourguiba university hospital Radhouane Harbi told TAP that until 10:00 a.m., the hospital has admitted six wounded, one of them in critical condition.
