Two hundred corruption cases in health sector reported (Samira Merai)

Health Minister Samira Merai said on Saturday that 200 corruption cases are currently being examined by medical, pharmaceutical, administrative and financial inspection structures.

“Several of these cases have already been presented to the courts and to the Finance Disciplinary Court,” she added at a House of People’s Representatives (HPR) plenary session.

As regards the measures taken by the ministry on this subject, Merai pointed out that all those involved in this matter have been suspended from their work, specifying that several whistleblowers are also involved in the case.
