SEKONDI-TAKORADI: Two members of the Multi-Stakeholder Group (MSG) involved in the Construction/Infrastructure Sector Transparency Initiative (CoST) in Sekondi-Takoradi have concluded their terms of service. Mr. John Kwesi Buckman, who served as vice chair, and Ms. Perpetual Okere, from the procurement department of the Sekondi Takoradi Metropolitan Assembly (STMA), were recognized for their significant contributions to the initiative, which aims to ensure optimal value and improved infrastructure for all citizens. According to Ghana News Agency, the duo was honored with citations during a farewell dinner organized by CoST Sekondi-Takoradi. Their efforts have been pivotal in helping the assemblies under the CoST project achieve substantial value for money in infrastructure development. The departing members have been succeeded by Mr. Elgiver Donkor, a civil engineer from the roads department of STMA, and Michael Beyaw, a quantity surveyor and head of works at Wassa East District Assembly. The new appointees were introduced and inducted as government representatives on the MSG. They join Mrs. Elizabeth Arthur, the Metropolitan Statistician for STMA, who has been a part of the MSG for two years. Mr. Isaac Aidoo, the manager of the CoST project, expressed gratitude for the expertise and dedication shown by the departing members, which contributed to the advancement of the project. The CoST projects, operational in eight assemblies of the Western Region, strive to develop better infrastructure for the people of Ghana.
