| (TAP)- The Tunisian General Labour Union (French: UGTT) said Saturday it is strongly opposed to any foreign intereference in Tunisia’s domestic affairs under whatever pretext which , it said, undermines national sovereignty.
Tunisia’s internal affairs are managed by Tunisians themselves, said the labour organisation. Any foreign meddling may harm the interests of Tunisia and give rise to internal conflicts. The labour organisation also urged some foreign countries which put pressure on Tunisia to reconsider their policy given the strong ties binding them which, it said, are based on mutual respect and the respect of the people’s will. Incitement against Tunisia by some political lobbies and figures in the name of democracy is condemnable, the UGTT said. It rejected, in this vein, calls on foreign parties to intervene in domestic affairs. |
