Deputy Minister for Marginalised Communities, Royal /Ui/o/oo, was on Monday discharged from the Grootfontein State Hospital, where he was admitted after being involved in a motor vehicle accident Sunday night.

The Namibian Police Force (NamPol)’s Otjozondjupa Commander, Commissioner Heinrich Tjiveze, in an interview with Nampa on Tuesday, said /Ui/o/oo was discharged Monday morning along with the seven passengers who were in the vehicle with him at the time of accident.

/Ui/o/oo was driving his official vehicle when, at about 23h00, it hit a truck trailer some eight kilometres east of Grootfontein.

The minister sustained minor injuries and was in a stable condition when he was admitted to the Grootfontein State Hospital.
