The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) will develop green spaces in Zrig, South Gabes, with funds worth 280 thousand dinars, starting July.
The project is implemented in collaboration with the municipality of Gabes. It provides for developing playgrounds for children and recreating areas for families.
Permanent representative of the UNDP in Tunisia Steve Utterwulghe, earlier in the week, visited the project site and El Mida region in Oudhref.
He met with a number of craftswomen whose activities have been affected by the coronavirus pandemic.
Some 100 craftswomen in Gabes, Medenine, Tataouine, Kebili, Tozeur and Gafsa have benefited from a training programme initiated by the UNDP to promote the online sale of their products.
