Unemployment rate for high-education graduates falls to 29.3% in Q1 of 2018

The unemployment rate for high-education graduates slumped two percentage points to 29.3%, the National Survey of Population and Employment in Q1 of 2018 revealed.

The number of employed fell from 639,000 in Q4 of 2017 to 634, 2 in Q1 of 2018 as the number of job seekers dropped by 4,800, the National Institute of Statistics (French: INS) said.

Consequently, the unemployment rate edged down from 15.5% in Q4 of 2017 to 15.4% in Q1 of 2018.
