Regional Director of the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) for the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) Ted Chaiban, on Friday, underlined the fund’s readiness to increase its support to the Ministry of Education in training school staff.
The UNICEF will help improve the quality of education and the evaluation of students’ achievements in the different phases of education, he added.
Chaiban, who is currently visiting Tunisia, voiced satisfaction with the resumption of normal education in the country after the exceptional measures taken over the past two years.
For his part, Education Minister Fethi Slaouti highlighted UNICEF’s support for the education sector, particularly in combating the COVID-19 pandemic during the previous period.
