University of Tunis El Manar ranked by URAP 1st in Tunisia, 9th in Africa

The University of Tunis El Manar was ranked 1st in Tunisia and 9th in Africa at the University Ranking by Academic Performance (URAP).

The university has just been awarded the URAP Certificate, its president Fethi Sellaouiti said on his Facebook page.

URAP has ranked the University of Tunis El Manar 1st in Tunisia, 9th in Africa and 703rd in the world, after being respectively 2nd, 14th and 1030th last year.

It therefore moved up 327 spots places in the world rankings in one year.

The main objective of URAP, which is a non-profit organisation, is to develop a ranking system for the world universities based on academic performance indicators that reflect the quality and the quantity of their scholarly publications.

The most recent rankings include 2500 HEIs around the World as well as 41 different specialised subject areas
