US committed to helping Tunisia move forward with development projects, reforms (Blome)

Minister of Foreign Affairs, Migration and Tunisians Abroad Othman Jerandi met Friday with U.S. Ambassador Donald Blome .


Further cooperation in a wide range of areas was discussed, in light of meetings ahead such as the 4th session of the Tunisia-USA Joint Economic Commission and the Tunisia-US Strategic Dialogue.


Blome said his country is committed to helping Tunisia address challenges and move forward with its development projects and structural reforms.


He also said the US appreciates the fruitful cooperation in the UN Security Council and coordination on issues of interest to the international community.


The exceptional measures announced by President Kais Saied, the FM said, “come in response to the demands of the people” to rectify the democratic process and establish the rule of law, a strong State and efficient institutions serving development and stability.
