US Lawmakers Express Support for Victims of San Diego Islamic Center Shooting

San diego: US lawmakers expressed support for the families of the victims of a fatal shooting at the Islamic Center of San Diego on Monday. Authorities said that five people, including two suspected shooters, were killed in the incident.

According to Anadolu Agency, California Sen. Adam Schiff shared his condolences on the US social media platform X, stating he is "heartbroken" by the shooting. He extended his prayers to the families of the three individuals who lost their lives. Schiff emphasized the importance of practicing faith without fear and urged against remaining silent in the face of hate.

California Congresswoman Sara Jacobs also took to X to express her solidarity with the Muslim community both in San Diego and nationwide. She assured them that they are not alone and expressed her sympathy for the families in mourning.

Brooklyn Congressman Hakeem Jeffries expressed his disturbance over the incident, offering prayers for the victims and the Clairemont community. He called for a concerted effort to combat Islamophobia and the hatred it incites.

California Sen. Alex Padilla also conveyed his prayers for the victims and their families on X, noting that his office is closely following the developments of the incident.
