The U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) called on small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) operating in the tourism industry in Kébili, Gabés, Jendouba, Kairouan, Tozeur and Tataouine to apply no later than April 10 for support in a bid to present and market unique tourism experiences.
SMEs can visit the website and fill out the form to access support provided through the Market Readiness Programme (MRP).
The MRP provides for specific technical assistance aimed at preparing small Tunisian tourism enterprises in the aforementioned regions to become “market ready” for domestic and foreign visitors seeking unique accommodations and experiences in Tunisia.
This programme is part of USAID’s Visit Tunisia which helped SMEs, very small enterprises and entrepreneurs in marginalised regions create new tourism experiences and products that leverage the country’s cultural heritage and natural resources.
Businesses which completed the technical assistance phase under the MRP will be eligible for a grant of up to US$7,500 to implement the improvements identified.
