UTICA to hold information day on ECOWAS

An information day on the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) will be held soon in Tunis, along with a UTICA-ECOWAS meeting, the Tunisian employers’ organisation announced in a statement released Tuesday.

These encounters, the date of which was not specified, were decided at the meeting held on Monday in Tunis between UTICA President Wided Bouchamaoui and President of ECOWAS Commission Marcel de Souza, in the presence of Bashir Mamman Ifo, President of the ECOWAS Bank for Investment and Development (EBID) and a delegation of senior executives of the commission.

The meeting also focused on ways to boost cooperation between private operators through bolstering partnership ties and sharing of experiences between the UTICA and the employers’ organisations of the 15 member countries of this regional grouping.
