Volta Region: The Volta Region recorded a total of 241 fire outbreaks from January to November 2024. They included 103 domestic fires and 15 electrical fires within the period under review.

According to Ghana News Agency, Deputy Chief Fire Officer (DCFO) Mr. Joy Ayim Ameyibor, Volta Regional Commander, disclosed that 17 vehicular fires were also witnessed during this period. Additionally, the region saw a total of 43 commercial fires and 53 bush fires.

The Commander further reported that there were nine institutional fires within the same time frame. DCFO Ameyibor emphasized the importance of adhering to fire safety protocols to prevent such incidents and safeguard lives and property.
