Accra: The Presbyterian Education Unit under the auspices of the Western Presbytery has held a retirement ceremony for the Reverend Stephen Martinson, the Western/Western North Regional Manager of Presbyterian Schools. The ceremony was to honour him for his four years of dedicated service to the Unit.
According to Ghana News Agency, Rev Joseph Apea Assamoah, the Presbytery Chairperson, commended Rev Martinson for his work, highlighting his dedication, discipline, hard work, and adherence to procedures. Rev Assamoah noted that Rev Martinson consistently followed proper channels in decision-making regarding educational matters, ensuring smooth operations during his tenure.
Rev Martinson expressed his gratitude to the Presbytery and the Presbyterian Education Unit, along with school management, head teachers, teachers, students, family, and friends for their support. He reflected on the enjoyable experiences he had with the Unit and expressed hope that his successor would continue to contribute positively to the Unit's success.
During the ceremony, Rev Martinson was presented with citations and gifts from various associations within the Unit in recognition of his exceptional service. His career includes over 30 years as a teacher and four years as Regional Manager.
