Tunisia is observing World Children’s Day on November 20 which was established to promote a culture of respect for the rights of children.

The Ministry of Family, Women, Children and the Elderly said Saturday there is determination to strengthen the role of the public sector in pre-school education in a bid to secure equal opportunities for all children.

The ministry called for pooling the efforts of all actors to tackle violence and re-establish the values of cohesion and progress and holding scientific debates on childhood issues.

The World Children’s Day offers the opportunity to further raise awareness about childhood issues and the need to ensure an environment that secures non-discrimination, participation and protection against threats.
