World Para Athletics Championships: Seven medals for Tunisia, including 3 gold

Tunisia won a total of 7 medals (3 gold, 2 silver and 2 bronze) at the first two days of the World Para Athletics Championships London 2017 (July 14-23).

The gold went to Rawaa Tlili (discus throw F41), who also managed a championship record of 32.29m, as well as Walid Ktila in T34 100m after clocking 15sec. Tunisia’s Marwa Brahmi snatched the third gold in club throw (F32) with 5.86m.

Marwa Brahmi (F32) and Soumaya Boussaid (women’s 1,500m T13) won each a silver medal after achieving a throw of 24.52m and clocking 4’40”89 respectively.

Najeh Chouia (1,500m T13) and Samar Ben Koeleb (F41) won each a bronze medal.

Sixteen Tunisian athletes are participating in this championship. They are: Rim Abdelli, Nada Behi, Henia Aidi, Samia Bousaid, Fethia Amaimia, Samar Ben Koeleb, Ismail Bouabid, Najeh Chouia, Yassine Gharbi, Maroua Brahmi, Raja Jebali, Mohamed Ali Krid, Walid Ktila, Abbes Saidi, Raouaa Tlili and Bilel Aloui.
