Yasmine Ochi wins best oral and poster presentation prize at 11th H3Africa consortium meeting

Yasmine Ochi, 1st year PhD student at the Laboratory of Bioinformatics, Biomathematics and Biostatistics (BIMS) of the Institut Pasteur in Tunis, won the best oral and poster presentation prize at the 11th H3Africa consortium meeting that took place in Entebbe, Uganda.

This prize will allow her to be a travel fellowship awardee at the African Society of Human Genetics meeting to be held in Rwanda in September 2018, the Institut Pasteur in Tunis said Wednesday.

Yasmine Ochi is doing her thesis work under the supervision of Dr. Alia Benkahla and Dr. Oussema Souiai.

Her thesis project is entitled: “Characterisation of Inter-species Protein Interactions: Use of SLiM motifs to infer interactions between Plasmodium falciparum and its hosts”.
