Accra: The Hague Ukrainian President, Volodymyr Zelensky, said on Wednesday that he discussed steps toward a ceasefire in the Russia-Ukraine conflict during a meeting with U.S. President Donald Trump.
According to Ghana News Agency, Zelensky emphasized the importance of the discussion by stating, 'We discussed how to achieve a ceasefire and a real peace. We spoke about how to protect our people,' on social media platform X. The effort to bring peace to the region remains a priority for Ukraine, and Zelensky expressed appreciation for the attention and readiness of the United States to support these efforts.
The meeting between Zelensky and Trump took place on the sidelines of the NATO summit in The Hague, Netherlands. The discussions are part of ongoing international efforts to address the conflict and seek a resolution that ensures the safety and security of the people affected.
