Zoom on regions: TAP journalists visit governorate of Tozeur

The governorate of Tozeur is hosting from November 1 to 6 the 14th session of the program “Zoom on regions”, a project resulting from a partnership between Tunis Afrique-Presse (TAP) news and the German Foundation Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung (KAS) concluded in 2018.

A team of journalists from the agency’s headquarters and its regional offices was mobilized for this purpose. It will conduct set of reports on the specifics of the city of Tozeur, projects underway and the main concerns of the residents of Tozeur and surrounding areas.

The tourist and archaeological sites as well as solar photovoltaic energy and phosphate are among the topics that will be addressed by the team of TAP.

TAP’s section “Zoom on regions” is a product launched in recent years in partnership with the German Foundation Konrad Adenauer Stiftung. It focuses, this time, on the concerns of professionals and residents of Tozeur, said Chaouki Aloui, TAP external relations director.

It is aimed at strengthening regional and proximity reporting within the agency, and accordingly promote the training of journalists in mobile journalism.

This 14th session will be marked by a series of journalistic productions around various themes (covers, reports, portraits, investigations …).

Among the topics that will be covered: the lack of water resources, the land situation and the impact on investment, the border area of Hezoua, farmers’ problems, beekeeping, forestry, infrastructure and sports services, the difficulties faced by women and youth in rural areas and smuggling.
